Phil(anthrophy) of the Future explores the intersection of philanthropy, foresight, and civil society. Why? Because philanthropy is rooted in supporting a better tomorrow and to fill that role, philanthropists, practitioners, and community members can't just think about today's needs. We must take the time to image and seek to build the future we want to see.
Phil the Future is place to explore trends, share my perspectives and the views of others on plausible futures of civil society and the role that philanthropy might play now to contribute to a resilient and more equitable society.
My hope is to inspire philanthropy can help "phil" the future with positive change for futures to come.
Hi. I'm amy weber - an experienced social impact leader focused on leveraging my diverse skill sets, experience and educate to drive lasting change.
And, yes, I do spell my name with a lowercase "a" and "w". Why? Because I seek to center others to lead social change in their own communities. It's a simple way to remind myself that I'm here to build positive futures for others, not create a personal legacy.
With more than 15 years of experience in the social sector, I have a proven track record of success in change management, project leadership, and creative
problem-solving across diverse sectors. I care about leveraging innovative and multi-disciplinary practices , including strategic foresight, to address complex challenges to improve futures.
